The story
Het Anker has brewed in Mechelen since 1471. Gouden Carolus is named after Emperor Charles V's gold coins, he grew up in Mechelen and famously preferred its beer to wine. Imperial Dark: 11% of dark fruit, licorice, chocolate and port.
